doc47
Self-promotion embarrasses me. OK, I'll try to get over it. In anticipation of the book on my African experiences being published I've put several samples on Blogspot.com. Go ahead, abuse yourselves! TOUBAB!: An American Doctor in West Africa Link to comment
Les is more
These are so good, Doc! I love your use of language. It's evocative yet relaxed--a little like the walk of the women you described. These experiences through your eyes and heart are very rich indeed. Thank you Link to comment

doc47
Twisties, that's in the book's intro. Get your copy FREE with Raleigh coupons! Seriously, I ended up in The Gambia b/c I wanted to go work in west Africa and knew someone who ran a NGO (non-governmental organization) in The Gambia. I also knew someone in Ghana. The Gambia threw their hat in the ring first, so there I went. Thanks for the compliments! There is also a web album of West Africa photos: doc West Africa photos Link to comment
