Jerry_75_Guy
Waterfalls are calming Nice pics David. Are these views really to be found just beyond your backyard?; I'm envious! Link to comment
ashleybiker
Simply beautiful. Did you leave the "smart phone" at home...? Nice pictures for sure. I am trying to work under the concept of having/owning less and doing more. Link to comment
LandonBlueRT
...a single thought about guns, energy usage, health care, or even motorcycles. I understand where you are coming from. My wife and I had a retreat on a lake in KY that I built with my own hands. We used it practically every weekend for more than ten years. I cherish the memories. Landon Link to comment

David
Waterfalls are calming Nice pics David. Are these views really to be found just beyond your backyard?; I'm envious! About 200 yards as the crow flies, but about a half hour of slipping/sliding. Link to comment
David
I am trying to work under the concept of having/owning less and doing more. I've still got a lot to learn in that regard, but this place has been a great setting to relax. Just took an afternoon nap, actually--the first in five years. Link to comment
David
That penguin is still hanging out at the top of the falls. That's what it looked like today, too. Hey, a huge tree fell down since last weekend, right across the trail. Must have been the storm that came through. Link to comment
lawnchairboy
beautiful, Monteagle area? right? enjoy your beautiful little slice of solitude and thanks for the pics, it is monsoon season in coastal NC this weekend... chris Link to comment
David
Cool pics! I love playing with water and slow shutter speeds. Ken, the one with the waterfall was a little tough to catch. If you look carefully at some of the detail, you can see it degrade. I didn't have a tripod, either, and I can't usually stop action below about 1/40 handheld. So I leaned the camera up against a tree--this one was 1/13th of a second. Link to comment
David
Yep, the huge metropolis of Monteagle! Link to comment

TN_R_Girl
Oooh David ... that looks absolutely lovely!! Wish I'd gotten a similar view here, but all I got to see were the tree limbs I was trying to cut and clear out of my backyard! Looking forward to seeing everybody again now that the weather is getting better! Link to comment
Les is more
That place looks cool, quiet, centering and inviting. I love the water but I find the tree so beautiful! Thanks! Link to comment
Bud
You live in the south as evidenced by the dogwoods blooming. Nice pics. Link to comment

russell_bynum
Very cool. I spent the day in the garage cussing at Lisa's car. For some reason, I find that relaxing. Link to comment

Mike O
David, I'm guessing in a few weeks the forestation will be so thick you won't be able to see through to the sky. Bernie and I remarked a couple of weeks ago (at our cabin) that when the aspen start to fill in with fresh leaves it'll be difficult to tell if our neighbors are home or not. And I can't wait till it's warm enough to enjoy a Maker's Mark on the deck (and a maybe a nice nap as well) Mike O Link to comment
MikeRC
Thanks for taking the time to post those pics. "Green season" is still 6 weeks away here. And it only lasts 4 weeks until "brown season". Hope to get a few pics this week. And I never obsess about national health care or guns. But I do have to take off all the tupperware and gas tank to do the wheel curcuits, and my RCU shelf should be here soon for the new GPS...... Mike Cassidy Link to comment
