ElevenFifty
2 day ride with pillion on board ... I75, been there, done that. 19 is the obvious alternative ... suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks - DH Link to comment
rogera
Hi David, I know what you mean about I75. Just for something different, Take I20 east to 441, follow 441 south 441 turns into 41. Stay on 41 south until you reach 52, take 52 east to 301 south. Take 301 south to 39 south. 39 south to 62. 62 west to 17 south. 17 south to Punta Gorda, after that the best you can do is I75 to Naples. Have fun Link to comment
ElevenFifty
Thanks Roger! I assume that's a lot of agriculture and horse country ... what about 19 for the return trip? Is it constant traffic light to traffic light? Link to comment
Matts_12GS
Is it constant traffic light to traffic light? It used to be, that's one of the reasons that still try to avoid it. Link to comment
rogera
It is until you get to Crystal River. I usually take the SunCost Parkway(589) to 98 then 19 to Tallahassee or I10 depending on which way I'm headed. Just a note, when I came back 19 from Texas last week they were paving the north bound lane. Link to comment

Richard_G
I like to take 129 south out of Live Oak and then pick up 349 near Branford or 129 to 19 below Chiefland then Suncoast Parkway to Veterans Expressway to Tampa. Sunshine Skyway to 75 then to Naples. Link to comment
tallman
Get South to Forsythe. Take 42 south thru Musella to 341 turn west towards Roberta on 128 then 137 to Butler 19 south around Albany and pick up 133towards Moultrie 33/319 south around Moultrie then 33 south to Florida and pick up 149 to Monticello then pick up 19 again take 19 south thru Perry and just south of there go right onto 361 take 361 until you head into Steinhatchee, pass Ray's Marina/restaurant on your right and then take first left go 2 blocks to gas station and turn right, go over bridge on the river and turn left at stop follow 358 out to 19 again 19 south until you pass Homosassa Springs and go east on 98 to the Suncoast Xway. (toll road, I find it easier for pillion to have $$ and just pull up and let them pay) take this south to the Veterans/275/bridge/75 south to Naples. The route breaks up the long 19 stretches, adds some hills, sweepers, scenery, and little/no traffic in places. Hope I got the numbers right, this is off top of head Have fun . Link to comment
