Joe Frickin' Friday
A good use for an AI robot. Short version: crown-of-thorns starfish, when present in large numbers, can wreck coral reefs. This robotic submarine scoots around, visually IDs that particular species of starfish with 99.4% accuracy, and injects them with poison. Batteries are good for an eight-hour starfish-hunting shift. I'm imagining a guy going out in the morning with a boat carrying a couple dozen of these and sprinkling them around the reef, then picking them up at the end of the shift. Link to comment
