Wiring GIVI Top Case Light

Hi All,

 

I just purchased a GIVI 52 Liter Top Case for my 04 R1150RT. I had the tail light option installed and need to wire it into the bikes wiring harness. Is there an "elegant" place to wire this in? They sent some quick splicing blocks, but I don't really like to use those unless it's necessary as it let's moisture into the wiring.

 

Any suggestions appreciated.

You're going to have to splice it in. If concerned about corrosion, etc. solder and heat shrink the connections. Or use Posi-locks.

I ran my wiring in to the tail light module, and used a double spade wiring clip from the hardware store. It has both a male and female on the one spade clip. I ran mine to the brake lights, but running lights will work too.
