bobbybob
We are considering flying in to either Portland or Seattle for the UN and renting 2 bikes. Preferably R12RT's but thats probably not very realistic. Does anyone have any suggestions as to rental companies, or anyone who just "rents bikes" period? I think I'd rather ride a 1980 Triumph than a 2007 Fat Boy. Link to comment
Helga
If you are coming to the PNW, here is a great website to explore...http://soundrider.com/ Mountains to Sounds is a place to rent motorcycles. http://www.mtsma.com/. Hope this helps! Link to comment
leonb
My friend from Switzerland rented from these guys operating out of Bend, Oregon. http://www.roadtrip-usa.com/ He requested a BMW, but got an FJR (they said that might happen). Had some troubles with the rear tire, but that got resolved in the end. I believe he was reasonably happy with them. Leon Link to comment

You'd arrange for an easy connecting flight from PDX or SEA to RDM [Redmond]. Scott might meet you at the airport Link to comment
bobbybob
Does anyone have any experience with http://www.northwestmotorcycleadventures.com/ ? Link to comment
selyab
Northwest Motorcycle Adventures is run by a friend of mine. He is the best. He brings the bikes in a trailer to a hotel near the Portland Airport and does all processing in the parking lot. By starting in Portland you get to ride over the Cascade mountains or through the Columbia River Gorge to get to John Day. Better contact him quickly since there is big demand for his bikes that time of year and he may be booked. c Link to comment
