Battery jumper part # s

Saw something about the post 04 RT s having the ability to be jumped without having to remove the tupperware. I remember someone posted the part # s for the 'older' model RT's that can be modified. Anybody have those #'s??

Here are the part numbers and descriptions for the R1150RT battery jumper post.

 

61 21 7 671 334 Angle Piece

61 21 7 671 354 Anode

61 21 7 672 395 Rubber Cover

 

These are the parts for the positive battery post. No modifications are required.

Also there's a flat washer shown in the fiche, part no. 07-11-9-931-050.

Checked and found that 61 21 7 671 354 Anode and 61 21 7 672 395 Rubber cover do not compute.

You're right - those are bad numbers. Here's the correct list of part numbers:

 

61-21-7-671-334 (angle piece)

61-13-7-672-395 (protect. cap)

61-13-7-671-354 (connector)

07-11-9-931-050 (washer)

 

I recently bought the first three numbers from the local dealer and substituted my own washer for the last one. I haven't installed them yet but they do look like the right parts.

Going out on a limb here - but would this setup should work for the R1100RT as well?

I see no reason why not. From watching Ted's spline lube video, the R1100RT has the same basic chassis as the R1150RT.

Here is the bracket, I cover it with heat-shrink tubing to prevent shorting it to ground inadvertently.
