Bullett
Wow! What a great womens' bb game tonight! Rutgers had the Lady Vols on the ropes in the final seconds of the game, then the Zebras called a foul on Rutgers. The clock read 0.2 seconds . . . On the replay, it did seem to be a loooong 0.2 seconds. The clock actually seemed to pause Nicky Anosike put the game away for the Lady Vols with two free throws. Linky to AP story. Plus, it was breast cancer awareness night at Tennessee, and the Scarlet Knights showed up in PINK uniforms! See why: Hoops for Hope All I can say is . . . what a class act C. Vivian Stringer and her team, the Lady Scarlett Knights are. And Congrats to the No. 1 Lady Vols! Link to comment
daveinatlanta
The .2 seconds actually took 1.2 seconds according to a replay on ESPN this morning. According to their theory, the game was ended before the foul. Therefore, I'm not sure if TN pulled it out or if the refs pulled it out for them. Either way, it was an exciting ending. I agree with the coach of the other team - 'thankfully this did not happen in a championship game.' Link to comment
