tallman
So Beth and I are sitting on our deck when we hear another explosion.(Friday night was the plane crash) A plume of smoke rises from the end of our cul-de-sac (about a par 3 away). We set out and see flames rising from the home at the end. Within 2-3 minutes the TFD has responded, in force. More vehicles arrive. Between the front and back, 13 vehicles; fire, EMT, ambulance, police, city power. The owners were out, I gave info to police who contacted them, and this is what they saw coming down the street.(Their car is the white one, lower right) Very sad, new addition and remodel up in flames. Good news, one of the rescued dogs. He bit Officer Dave H. When Dave, another neighbor, tried to get the dog out of the home. Our quiet little neighborhood has been rocked by the plane crash, and now this, all within44 hours. We’re sad for our neighbors, but grateful no one was home and injured. There are still missing dogs and a cat, but firemen said they may have gotten out. Strangely enough, my students in Psychology class are reading Fahrenheit 451. On our street numerous professors, scholars, and musicians from FSU reside. Too much life imitating art to suit me. Hope your weekend has been less eventful and stress free. Best wishes. tallman
Francois, Oddly enough, of the eleven houses, built nearly 50 years ago, 4 are still occupied by original owners. We've been here almost 21 years. We went out with a bang a long time ago. Link to comment

eddd
Don't want to scare you, but in the fire service we often find trouble comes in threes!! Good new is that your first was a par 4, second par 3. Since there are no par 2s, you might be in the clear. Link to comment

Bud
For the safety of my family and my neighbors, please don't move close to us. What a week you have had. Glad to hear no one died. I don't believe in that rule of 3 things and you don't have to either. Link to comment
steve.foote
Tim, just for the sake of clarity, are you talking about a 'Tiger Woods' 3-par, or a 'RightSpin' 3-par? I'm trying to get a mental picture going here. Link to comment
tallman
Well, if you hit it straight, it's paved. An easy nine iron for me, sand wedge for El Tigre. For you, a cut seven into a r-l wind. Link to comment
