So, I know I'm possibly opening a can of worms but I could use some experienced consultation.

SLC to Moab via I-15,6, 191. Got a better route? Lemme know!

Day 2 outta Moab-Arches, Islands, Dead Horse, LaSal Loop

Day 3 to Bluff or Blanding - Needles, Newspaper,Edge Cedars

Day 4 to Torrey - Mon. Valy, Goosenecks, Moki, Hanksville

Day 5 to Panguitch - Fish Lake, Anasazi, Bryce, Kodachrome

Day 6 outta Panguitch - Cedar Brks, Brian Head, Cedar City

Day 7 back to SLC via Nebo Loop or down to North Rim for a couple hours. Comments?

and any restaurant ideas would be most welcome as well.

Thanks, Hitch

For rentals Eaglerider has RTs. For HD's plenty of choices.

Day 1: I would try to go US-89 to UT-31 via Fariview and Huntington, then either up to US-6 at Price, through the San Rafeal Swell on dirt from Castledale to I-70 at mile marker 131, or down UT-10 to I-70. If your dirt tolerance is high the route through the San Rafeal Swell takes you through Buckhorn Wash (pictograph panel), and through the northern swell.

As an alternative on Day 1, stick with your original route, but add an up and back on Nine Mile Canyon for the pictographs.

Day 2: Some have recommended UT 128 from Moab to I-70. I haven't ridden it, but it's great in a cage.

Day 6: I would drop Cedar Breaks and Brian Head, and add Zion NP.

Restaurants:

Green River: Ray Tavern for 1/2 lbs burgers and hand cut fries. Bens for breakfast. Bens isn't great, but everything else is bad.

Torrey: Cafe Diablo

Boulder: Hells Backbone
