K2R1150RS Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 My daughter is graduating from UTSA May 9th and my wife and I are planning on riding down to see her. We'll be leaving around April 26 and have to arrive by May 8. I would love to go east on US 12 to Helena or thereabouts then turn south. I have a couple of questions since it's been years since I've been that way. What is the Yellowstone area like at that time of year? Any problems other than needing to be flexible about weather? What's a pretty route from Yellowstone to San Antonio that will be open at that time of year? My daughter will be moving to Fort Collins right after graduation, and we'll be helping her. So I would like to do a bit different route coming back than going out. I've got to be back at work by May 18. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Keith Link to comment
