Several riders have expressed interest in dining at Hodels. When: Jan 17, 7:00 Where: Hodels 5917 Knudsen Dr Bakersfield, CA 93308 (100 yards west of 99 & Olive Dr exit) Why: Why not! There are several motels within walking distance and a Starbucks on the corner for your morning fix. If you need motel info. let me know. I plan on hooking up with mrduck on Friday in Inyokern for the run to Olancha for breakfast. I plan on taking the Kern River gorge (CA178) to the eastern side of the Sierras, weather permitting. If you've never ridden this road, it is a must ride. All are welcome. Please chime in so I'll know how many riders to expect for dinner, and or the Friday ride through the Sierras. Link to comment

I was thinking this year wouldn't happen for the dinner, which is one of the best parts of the DVD weekends!!! Thanks for getting it going Greg!!! The link does not include Motel 6, which is on the same street as the others. I of course, have not stayed at any of these, but the names should be familiar to you travelers. The top three on the page are the ones you will want if you don't want to travel after your arrival in Bakes. They are, Vagabond Inn Bakersfield North ; Sleep Inn & Suites; Econolodge Bakersfield. Posted prices were from a low of $32.39 to a high of 62.99. Hope this helps. Of course, let me know if the link doesn't work and I will post contact information for these establishments.
