In preparation for my ride in April, and to give my new seat a proper wear in I want to put a ride together in January.

Starting Point Mall of Georgia, Buford Ga. 600 to 1000 miles in 24 hours.(route to be determined) This would qualify you for the iron butt thumbsup.gif if you choose to jump through all the hoops.

Just testing the water to see if there is a interest.....

Well hook is out there who will go for it...... lurker.giflurker.giflurker.giflurker.gif

What the heck, it could be fun wave.gifwave.gif

Might be too early for you but there is a fairly large 1000 mile Iron Butt group this Saturday -- ostly the BMW GA crowd. The group is leaving from BMW Atlanta at 8am this Saturday and routing via Chattanooga, B'ham, Montgomery, Mobile, I-10 to Live Oak Fl (brief motel break Sat nite), back to the Club's Sunday morning meeting at high Falls State Park. Total miles about 1060. If interested, see http://bmwmoga.info/forum/showthread.php?t=922

Hey Tim, whats the details of your meet in Ceader Key, That may just be the ticket

From BMWSportTouring.com:

In keeping with the 100 day notification requirement for the AARP members, please be advised that Cedar Key IV will be on Saturday, January 26, 2008.

Last year over 100 riders visited Cedar Key and we’re looking for a bigger turnout this year.

Same time and place to meet and eat. On the waterfront at Frog’s Landing on Dock Street.

Lunch, @ 11:30

Some (last year about 25) folks remain overnight, meet for dinner, and an evening of music, dancing, stargazing.

Lodging information

http://www.cedarkey.org/members.php

If you’ve never been there, Cedar Key is a small, waterfront, artist community, where you can park the bike, stroll the cobblestone streets, visit galleries, and enjoy the vistas.

This is a chance to meet other board members, catch up with friends, and have a good time in a relaxed, casual environment.

Hope to see you there.
