Formerly_Capecodbeemer Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 So after another almost drop because my leg wasn't long enough on an incline I moved the seat back to its lower setting. Now my knees are not as happy as they were when in the high setting. Yes I could lower the pegs but I think I would be happy with a mid level seat adjustment. Has anyone found an easy work around the two position seat???
TomfromMD Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 With the BMW low seat, the peg lowering kit worked for me. On longer rides, I alternate between lower & upper seat positions every 100 miles or so and the knees complain much less. Tom
RETII Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I used a 1/2 bolt the width of the lower base. I dropped it into the lower slot then put the seat on top of that thereby raising the front of the seat the 1/2". No forward slide and a mid position adjustment. I can send pics if you want. Cheers, Ralph
LuckyLeif Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 You might try riding with an Air Hawk inflatable cushion with the saddle in low position. That would get you an intermediate height but not reduce your cornering clearance by lowering the pegs.
black99S Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 How the heck can you move around or hang off when you are sitting on a whoopie cushion?
