sjn7708
Has anyone lowered a GS adventure, and if so by how much. Ive seen the GS lowered before, but want to know how much it can be done on an adventure. Id like to have more gas capacity, and I can do it one of several ways: 1. get the adventure which has a bigger tank 2. add an auxiliary tank to any bike. 3. add a touratech tank to either a 650 or 1200 gs. any suggestions. Jim VonBaden
Just add some stock R1200GS "sport" shocks and you have a bike 1.5" shorter. No hassle. Jim Link to comment

It should be since all the drivetrain components are the same except the shocks. Jim :brow PS Yes, I know, they are technically struts with oul springs. Link to comment
