We spent the day Friday 9/14 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee because of heavy rain and wind. Saturday we rode the Cherohala Shyway and the Dragon and there were 5 Tennessee State Police Cars and one motorcycle patrolling the Dragon. We got home Monday the 9/17 at 9:45pm. We put on around 3200 miles.

What a great trip - I've done the BRP multiple times and SD twice ... put those together with surviving 129 and enjoying the Cherohala and that's a great ride!

Nice report. My hat is off to you guys for riding the whole way on the Skyway. 35MPH sucks. Also kudos to your bride for riding the Ninja the whole way. Looks like the RT was the pack mule. thumbsup.gif

Can't say as we did 35mph all the way down the SLD but we didn't go overboard. It's such a pretty ride that you can be content going a little slow.

The wife did a great job on the Ninga. Her first long ride. She could lay on the tank bag once in a while to releave her arms. We stopped in Virgina for a rear tire on my RT and saw the new F800ST. I think it will nice bike for the wife, light and she can reach the ground which is a problem for her, she is short legged.

There were so may Troopers on the Dragon that you had to really mind your Ps and Qs. Glad we did it but just as nice riding on the BRP.
