John, that's a good question on who ACTUALLY manufactures controller,, AFAIK the original ABS 2 design & testing was done under a joint agreement between BMA & FAG Kugelfischer.. I would presume BMW or FAG manufactures the unit itself but there is also the chance it could be done by an outside supplier under license.. FAG is more of a bearing & sensor supplier though..

Thanks for the response and info. There has got to be a source for the screw in caps on the ABS unit other than the dealer. $43 is just out of the question.

John, are you looking for the screw-in cap to fabricate a fill device for ABS brake bleed?

 

If so, some members of this board have commented that they have successfully used a rubber stopper rather than the much more expensive screw in filler cap.
