BitScribbler
Me too. And it's absolutely lashing it down with rain here now. Thanks. Thanks a lot! Link to comment
OoPEZoO
I wanted to, but it is still sitting in the garage with a huge hole in the headlight lense due to picking up a rock last Friday I just checked the UPS tracking # and it looks like the new one will be delivered today , so I guess I will have to be content riding in the rain tomorrow PS. The headlight guard I ordered from Aerostich should be here by the end of the week also. I won't let a rock spoil my fun again. Link to comment
Lone_RT_rider
I did. Thanks to my bum knee, this is the first one I have missed in over 8 years. Next year!!! Shawn Link to comment
Tool
I did. Me too. I mean, me too, when I leave for work! But moderators have to get up E-A-R-L-Y so we can sip some coffee while we read all the latest "offerings" here. Just the same, I'll bet a pitcher of margaritas there won't be ONE additional motorcycle in the parking lot today. I work at a place where there are several large-ish buildings sharing common parking lots, and altho there is no problem finding a spot to park, there is NO dedicated moto-parking. So you have to worry about some ditz not seeing your bike and knocking it over, or smacking it with a car door, or whatever. It would be great to lobby for a change, but with all my co--workers arriving in cages - driving solo, as most everywhere - I don't have much chance. I don't see that changing any time soon, either; too bad. Link to comment
Joe Frickin' Friday
My commute is 1.6 miles. I couldn't justify gearing up for that. Heck, I shouldn't even have driven; I shoulda taken my bicycle. I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike... I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like... Link to comment

TowJam
My ST is sitting in my garage right now - but I'm working from home today. So I guess that "technically", I did ride my motorcycle to work. Link to comment

Husker Red
I did too, but I always do. We are really lucky here because the "parking committee" has set aside dedicated motorcycle parking spots right at the entrance to the garage where security is best. Nice. Last year I sent all the committee members a thank you note for their consideration of motorcycles and to remind them of the benefits motorcycles provide. Link to comment

Stan Walker
For me every day is ride your motorcycle to work day. +1......... unless the weather is bad. Here is S. Cal. that seldom happens. I'm going in a little early in the hope that I can get a parking space in one of the motorcycle parking area. During the summer it's usually crowded, and occasionally full. Stan Link to comment
Sidmariner
Hey So Cal! I do every day but...I've got that beat! I am required to attend a conference with the US Navy Third Fleet in San Diego in mid August...but I live on Vancouver Island. My Navy has approved my request to ride to the conference and back instead of flying, and they'll give me the equivalent of airfare and a per diem for the trip. One of my collegues who is attending is even going to carry my uniform down for me so I can travel light. How's that for riding to work? Link to comment

Carnadero
...unless the weather is bad. Here is S. Cal. that seldom happens. Just so happens that as of last night, the forecast a bit further north here in N. CA was that there would be a slight chance of showers occurring this morning, although there was nothing of the sort happening on the way to work. Looked like most everybody else was scared off, as it seemed I was the only motorized two-wheeler on the road this morning... Link to comment
skinny_tom (aka boney)
I'm not working today. But I do ride my motorcycle almost all of the time anyway, and I'm not going to make a special trip... Tomorrow I'm taking the cage. Link to comment

pbbeck
I'm a teacher on summer vacation, so I didn't ride this morning. I'll make up for it by riding every day during the school year. I wonder if I'm the only math teacher that shows up to work on a GS? Â Now we need to schedule a "No SUV Day." How about a "Hang Up and Drive Day?" Link to comment

I was forced to go the long way to avoid one of our typical Florida "chance of isolated thunderstorms". The thing is you can see where is is raining and just go the long way round!  I sure hope there is one I need to avoid on the way home. Link to comment

Lynn
I wonder if I'm the only math teacher that shows up to work on a GS? Â Mark didn't ride for the same reason. Does a Physics/Astronomy teacher riding an LT come close enough for you? How about his colleague-a Biology teacher on a Vespa? Â As for me-I have missed yet another one. The bike is getting some work done. I have managed to miss the last 4 years, despite riding nearly every day in the riding season. And quite a few outside of the riding season. Link to comment

I hear ya.....it was just wishfull thinking. driving the car is killing me. I honestly think this is the first time since about February that I have driven the car 3 days in the same week. Even when my bike was down and out waiting for tires last month......I stopped by my parents house and stole my Dad's Goldwing for the week . This time he threatened me . Its all good, I hope to be back on the road tomorrow. Link to comment

Lynn
What's a riding season? Is that a set of tires? Joel
On any given day, there's often another bike, sometimes 2, and a couple of scooters in the lot at my office. We have dedicated motorcycle parking, closer to the entrance than any other motorized vehicle parking. (I jokingly tell people the only reason I ride is to park closer to the door.) Only the bicycle rack is closer. Alas, today my GS is kept company only by a white Honda Metropolitan scooter with orange polka dots. Maybe the forecast for 95+ degree heat, followed by afternoon thunderstorms, scared them off. Link to comment
JayW
I did, though I usually do not. I really should do it more often. It seems a bit of a nuisance to don my gear and drink my coffee at home instead of on the way to work, but once I am on the bike it always seems worth it all. Jay Link to comment

mbelectric
Did it, and was disappointed with the turnout at work...of 70 people on the job, 3 of us rode. Maybe the mist of rain in the morning ruined it? Just wondering where all the support was. MB> Link to comment
bmwk100
I have a company car so it's out of the questions for me. But, I rode to the Marlins/Cardinals game tonight. Nice warm night. Sounds like a lot of you work at home or don't work at all. Nice position to be in! Link to comment
