just purchased new zumo 550. can I attach a BMW male plug to the end of the bike mount.I fried an IQUE doing the samt thing and hesitant to try with the ZUMO.

You should be fine if you wire in an inline fuse of the proper wattage.

Your bike mount cable has an in-line fuse already.

If the supply is 12v. No problem.

Clyton, you should have a radio connector just under the L/H side of the fairing (just forward of the glove box) .. That connector should have both a 12V hot all the time terminal & a 12V terminal that is switched on & off with the ign switch.. That is an excellent place to wire in your Zumo..
