TracerBullet
I have a little bit of weeping (I know probably normal and I am not worried) but that is not my question Should there be a zip tie on both ends of the boot? There is only a tie on the larger end. Before I zip tie the other end (there is an open space as it is not tight) I wanted to ask thanks Link to comment

Possibly BMW made a running change but the 02 uses one each end.. Twisty Link to comment

Clive Liddell
My R has two metal "hose clamp" style straps but the 2000 RT came with one metal and one "cable tie". The two are different lengths and I replaced my one cable tie with the metal clamp for better weep control Expect to pay (a LOT) more for the metal clamp though... Link to comment
flars
I don't believe in paying the 'big bucks' for a o-fi-shul BMW part, so I used a cable tie. I couldn't find a real long one anywhere in my garage, so I just used two ties zipped together. I've done it twice in the last 30,000 miles, and it seems to work just fine. Link to comment
