CraCol
Has anyone tried or been able to remove the side stand from an R1200RT? There is a bushing in from the bottom that defies removal, and the CD manual is no help at all.. Thanks, TinMan. Link to comment

CraCol
Won't the bike fall over without it? Pat Not if you remember use the center stand...;-) I need to get it off to shorten it. There is a bushing holding it in that doesn't have an apparent way to remove it, other then ripping it out and ruining it.. TinMan. Link to comment
TEWKS
I didn't try it, but after removing the T50 bolt, spring & wires for the cut out switch, you may have to pull it forward or backwards instead of down. Pat Link to comment

The busing (which instales from the back or bottom side) is pressed in and there isn't anything to get a bite on to get it out.. Link to comment
