Ken H.
BMW calls it a "CONTAKT PLATE." I believe it is to ensure ground continuity to the rubber mounted/isolated valve cover. Part of the RFI radiation shielding of the spark plugs. Link to comment
Bud
Thanks Ken. Getting the bike ready last night so I could adjust valves this morning in prep for the Blitz to Branson. Never adjusted valves before. In fact, never had the covers off so it all looks new to me. New oil and filter, new tires front and back and now valve adjust today. Every little bit helps. Throttle body synch next but not till after the Blitz. Link to comment
