Timmer
This year I have the good fortune to live near to a portion of Stage 2 of the Amgen Tour of California bicycle race. Stage 2 went from Santa Rosa to Sacramento - about 115 miles total. I rode about 1 mile to get these shots. That makes it a Ride Tale, right? Here's some shots as they went by. It was quite a parade of CHP's in cars and on BMW's. Also various BMW motorcyclists serviing as Race Marshalls and Photo units. Photo 3 on a GS decided to block my view. There was an early breakaway. The Peloton as it approached and then sped by at 28 mph. Link to comment
Timmer
The rest of the photos: The parade ended with a long line of support cars. I don't have a good telephoto lens but there were lots of helicopters. Link to comment

ESokoloff
This Saturday I'm attempting to ride 100 miles on a BICYCLE It's an organized ride that looks to be sharing some of the same roads as these guys. Im assuming that they will have already come & gone by the time I/we reach the Ojai/Santa Paula area. If not then I guess I'll have a front row seat of the proceedings How long was the road closed? Carnadero
Also various BMW motorcyclists serviing as Race Marshalls and Photo units. Say, isn't that Cheechoo doing the piloting? Link to comment
Timmer
The road was closed for about an hour total. The CHP's made every effort to minimize the time and traffic impact. Link to comment
