RBertalotto
I spent a bit of time in the shop yesterday making a mount for my Garmin 2730 GPS. Here's the pictures...... I wanted it mounted right up front on the yoke, but not obstructing my guages... The bracket is bolted with two holes drilled and tapped into the yoke... The BMW logo thingy will cover the screw holes if I ever decide to remove it... The bracket itself is simply a piece of 16 ga plate steel, bent to shape and painted silver.... stubble!
I ended up going a different route on my RS, replacing the steering head socket-cap bolts with 5mm longer versions and putting a RAM mount under each. My GPS is vertical in orientation so this works well for it, just to the left of the speedo. Link to comment
