LGannon
Is it possible to replace the seal on a side case? when I leave the bike uncovered I get a pool of water in the bottom of the case, only on the left side though ! Link to comment
tomk99r11
I had a leak, think due to carelessly shutting something between the lid and bag. What worked for me was to pull out the rubber seal strip, rotate it slightly and then re-insert in the groove. Hope this works for you. That stuff should be easily substituted I would think. Good luck. Link to comment
Nevets
What type cover do you have on the cases? Link to comment
LGannon
Is there more than one type? Link to comment
Nevets
Yes. City (almost flat), regular depth and I'm fairly sure there are also some really deep touring lids. The city/flat lids tend to bend and are almost impossible to seal well, at least for me. Maybe someone could add the correct nomenclature for the lid types. Link to comment
LGannon
OK, They are not flat, most likely the regular ones. Link to comment
ShovelStrokeEd
Easy to tell which is which, just look at your bike from the rear and see what comes to mind. No bags = Michelle Pfeiffer City lids = Lindsey Lohan Regulars = J'lo Touring = Queen Latiffa (?sp) Link to comment
Mark K
.......pull out the rubber seal strip, rotate it slightly and then re-insert in the groove....... This worked for me as well (to a degree). Link to comment
