GPS comparo?

Welcome.

 

I think the new Nav III is a Garmin 2820 but others may correct me on this.

Personally I went for a 276C. You may want to do some comparing here.

There is no way that the NavIII is worth twice the price of a Zumo 550. That would be my choice as you do not NEED the buttons on the BMW cradle. The NavIII is terribly limited if you want to use the cellphone link via the GPS.

How does it mount?

I exchanged some emails with the US Touratech distributor today and they said that their first of November shipment of Zumo's has yet to arrive.

 

If it works as advertised, it sounds like a interesting unit.

Wow, that's a great price, even if you have to buy a new Costco membership. It's about $200.00 below what gpsnow.com has them for.
