Baba_ORiley
Help please. I did a Search and was not able to find any definitive list of BMW motorcycle dealer service codes. I recently tracked down the dealer that serviced my RT-P while it belonged to the CHP, and the dealership was kind enough to print out and fax me the bike's service history. Unfortunately, this service history consists of dates, mileage, and 10 digit service codes -- but without any description of the work that was performed. I feel I've asked enough of this dealer's time, but I want to find out what work my motorcycle has had done to it. Can someone point me in the right direction? The codes are: 1002000000 1111564900 1112024800 2121005800 2312004800 2313007700 3311014800 3312014800 3312014900 3317030400 4654000100 4654003800 4654003800 4663087800 6111001300 6131081200 36320377PM Any help to define or decode these numbers would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. (note to moderator, since isn't specific to one type of BMW motorcycle, I placed this thread in this forum. Please move if appropriate) Link to comment
bmwmick
Any dealer can break those down easily. You can also just get a KSD CD from eBay and do it yourself. 99% of the codes are compatible with the C1 scooter too. If I come up with an hour to kill someday.....I'll take a look. Santron
Always good to see other RT-P's! I went through the same thing that you are. My dealer wasn't willing t help me, though, but one of the kind members here was of assistance. Hopefully some of the codes will be the same for you: http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/sh...&PHPSESSID= Link to comment

Those are called "defect codes" and they are the reference number to the problem the bike had. The first two numbers of each # set refer to an area on the bike. ie 1111564900 - the 11 at the beginning refers to engine area. Link to comment

Mick That would be great. There's just one local dealer here. Haven't been there yet but I haven't heard many good things about them. . Link to comment
