keithb Posted October 27, 2006 Share Posted October 27, 2006 I have a buddy who is buying a 2002 K1200RS on Saturday and the 12K mile service is due. Can you tell me what oil/oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, tranny fluid, final drive fluid this bike uses? Are the valves adjusted at this service interval? We thought we would pick the supplies up and have them ready to go. Thanks in advance for your help. Link to comment

hazmat Posted October 29, 2006 Share Posted October 29, 2006 The valve are checked at the 12K service, not a hard thing to do. Most K motors once the valves have taken a set don't change much in the first 50K. I learned to do the 12K service on my LT at a tech day the hardest part is getting all the tupperware off!
