I rode a ST 1300 ABS last week and frankly, the brakes are as good as the ones on the RT but simpler. Why such complexity ? Previous bike was a ST 1300 ABS but I had forgotten how good the brakes and engine are. Quite a machine ! Link to comment

eaglemike Posted September 5, 2006 Share Posted September 5, 2006 The brakes on my 2005 RT were sort of grabby. On the 2006 (long, sad story) they are much easier to modulate. I don't know if there was a compound change, or bike variation. I got both of them with less than 10 miles. Clutch also easier to modulate. all the best, Mike Link to comment

On the 2006 (long, sad story) they are much easier to modulate. all the best I thought my brakes were way too grabby when I first got my '05 RT. My previous bike was an F650GS so I figured I just get used to it, but I didn't. The brakes perform much better after the dealer peformed the ABS recall(Banjo bolt with smaller hole). Link to comment
