R12ST's on the Blue Ridge Last Weekend

By chance met some members of this board last weekend at the Mt. Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Good to see you guys.

Had a very good time riding around the Asheville area. Very surprized to see 3 R12ST's in addition to mine in the area. Cool as I haven't seen many out! One thing was not a surprize, all the handle bars of the 4 ST's had been raised to above the top triple clamp. I feel vindicated of my feeling that the stock position was just too low for longer rides. Two of the four had after market shocks with mine running the ESA stockers. If I had a suggestion to BMW of why this bike hasn't sold well, there it is. The stock handle bar position and the need for quality shocks for the SPORT part of ST designation. I completed my trip with some North GA riding along with taking on the Dragon @ Deals Gap and the Cherohola Skyway. I'm all smiles.
