Nelson Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 I had the intercom installed by the dealer and am having problems. It was never connected to the radio system nor the GPS. Something about they did not have the right cables. I installed the helmet portion. I just get a faint noise. It will for a brief <1sec on start at a certain key position work. The unit is getting power. Any thoughts why the intercom is not working, Played with the volume and vox settings to no avial. I've seen the pdf on switched install at Autocom's web site- apparently the mechanic at the dealer did not. Anyone else with smiliar problems? Link to comment
johnlt Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 Call the dealer and tell them to order the correct cables and then do the install right! Sounds like you are not getting your money's worth. I'm sure you could deal with it but you paid them, make them do it correctly. Link to comment
Nelson Posted July 28, 2006 Author Share Posted July 28, 2006 Unit is off to Autocom. Further analysis revealed vox control was creating heat- I suspect faulty vox control. Wll wrap it up next week when the factory service lets me know. Link to comment
