A busy weekend meant I didn't get out on the bike until early Sunday evening ,which was probably a blessing as it has been very hot of late ..........

So I donned the gear , mounted up , and rode off in search of some shade and cooler climes in which to ride .............

I love this shot Steve! You were either very careful here or just got lucky! smile.gif

Timing is everything ....and I was bloody lucky with my timing on this one [ I was trying for the action shot ],

That was a bit dicey , riding through the water ........... the ground was very uneven , and I nearly lost my footing when I stopped to put the sidestand down ...the water was very refreshing though !!

The Alvis parked up just round the corner as I was getting off the bike in Burford , so I went to have a look ...beautiful car - the radiator leaked , but only for a minute or two .

Although it was 6.30 pm , it was extremely hot and I would have struggled to ride any great distance without dehydrating - I can see how a rider could easily get exhausted riding in such heat .

Steve, how do you manage to ride around your area of Burford and not get any bugs on your bike. Here in Dorset the bugs are rife, even a short rides sees my bike covered.

Darren,

There are no flies on me ....... grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Just lucky I guess , although I did get attacked by a killer squad of flying ants whilst taking one of the photos on this thread [ 2nd/3rd photo ] .
