bleeding the brakes and recall

My R12GS is almost 2yrs old and I just got the recall re the brake recall. Will they bleed the entire system when they replace the banjo bolt ( so that I get a free bleed ) or should I schedule a brake bleed at the same time? Can I bleed them myself? Thanks, Ben.

They will not have to bleed the modulator for the recall, so no it is not a full brake bleed. At two years old, you should not have to bleed your control circuits, but may want to bleed your wheel circuits.

 

Start here for instruction on bleeding wheel circuits. The process hasn't changed much for the 1200, but you should invest in and read the manual before plunging ahead by yourself.
