billbeemer Posted July 3, 2006 Share Posted July 3, 2006 replaced my fuel filter and forgot to reclamp the 2 vent hoses at base of fuel pump. they slipped on quite snugly, but arent clamped. do i have to go back in there? they are just vent hoses. thanks Link to comment
JerryMather Posted July 3, 2006 Share Posted July 3, 2006 If they had clamps on them already, you should go in there again and redo them. If they didn't have clamps on them your OK. They're just vents line with very little pressure on them anyway. Link to comment

The exterior hose connections have no pressure on them, but you only have to pull the plastic to clip them. Bruce C Link to comment
ELP_JC Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 If you're talking about the vent/drain hoses under the gas-cap housing, you should be okay, as fuel doesn't reach there and are not pressurized. I'd definitely clamp anything constantly under fuel. Link to comment
