randy
so I assume most people know, modern day GoPro say Version 5 and above, actually has a replaceable protective cover over the actual GoPro camera lens. so this past weekend, I went riding. at Lunch I noticed at some point during the ride the protective cover got hit and had a crack from bottom corner to top corner right across the middle of the lens Thinking the video would be useless, I shut down the camera and put it in my top case. Fast forward to loading the footage for viewing and what do I see NOTHING, the crack did not affect the video in anyway. so two lessons learned. Carry a spare lens protection, and even if you do not have a replacement lens cover keep recording, you probably got a very good chance that your footage will be fine. Just an FYI. 2 1 Link to comment
