Never down. Normal use. All velcro, zippers and other fasteners are all good. Has elbow armor and shoulder armor. This size is 46 SHORT. I am 5"11, weigh 175 lbs with a 36 inch waist and 40 inch chest and the jacket fits me well and is a little short. The price is $249 including conus shipping and insurance.
