odometer

On a 2005 R1200 ST odometer display is in miles. Same was with Triumph, but that can be switched back end forth, from metric, standard US or imperial.

I wonder if that is possible with the beemers also? And if so, where could i find instructions about how to do it?

Your dealer can do it with their shop computer. 

 

I'm not sure if the GS-911 can change the ST, should be able to but I haven't ever changed the ST so can't confirm that. 

 

Might even be able to do it with the cheaper MotoScan unit, but you would probably have to contact MotoScan to verify that it can.

 

There is no easy button, it needs to be done using a remote scanner/computer  connection. 

 

Esay way is to just ride with a GPS, more accurate & easy to switch between KPH & MPH.
