Seat Handscrew Thread Size MM

Hi I am new to this forum.

 

I was wondering does anybody know the thread size and length of the handscrew that holds the passenger seat down on a 2016 R1200RT.

No, but if you look at the parts fiche (available to view at Max BMW and elsewhere), it might provide that information.

It does not and neither does BOBSbmw. might try an m10x1.25 bolt. Lowe's and Ace hardware stores normally carry metric bolts.

@BMWXYZR1200RT, welcome to the forum.

 

The screw is an M6 with a 1.0 thread pitch.   The threaded portion measures 32mm long, with the head adding 14mm.
