Knee pad lifting up

Good day all, the knee pad on the fairing of my R1100RT 1995 model is lifting a little, probably due to age. Does anybody have a solution to this? Should I remove it and try to straighten it? or do something with it on the fairing still?

cheers,

Dan

Morning Dan

I usually just clean the knee pad and clean the fairing pocket then glue the knee pad in with 3-M trim adhesive.

Putting the removed knee pad out in the hot sun for a while can sometimes allow you to sort of re-shape it to better fit the panel hole.

Depending on where the knee pad doesn't fit correctly there can be enough lip on the back side to drill a small hole in the lip then stick a small cotter pin though the hole to pin that area to stay tight to the fairing panel.
