Final drive replacement

Will a camhead (10 to 13) vented final drive bolt on to a hexhead k26 (05 to 09)

Swingarm? My 08 drive is fine at 46k miles, just want to know for future just in case.

Yes & no, 

 

Will it bolt on yes, will it work OK,  that depends,  

 

As long as you are bolting on a civilian (not RT-P) drive the 10-13 camhead drive will work on the later hexhead motorcycles but not on the early hexhead GEN 1 drive motorcycles.

 

The hexhead needs to originally have a GEN 2 final drive  (basically 2007 up)

It is basically just as DR said above. The early hexheads had a different number of teeth.
