Motopressor Pocket Pump by Rocky Creek

Recommended Posts

Just sharing my thoughts about this new travel air compressor.   It is the Motopressor Pocket Pump V2 from Rocky Creek.

I had seen these advertised in MOA news, ADVMOTO and Roadrunner magazines so after reading a couple positive reviews and what appeared to be its TINY size I decided to order and upgrade my very cheap but functional SLIME inflators which cost about $10 when purchased.  I figured with all the travel I do having a bit better air pump was money well spent.  I ordered 2, one for each bike.  Service and shipping was quick and easy arriving in less than a week.  They are shipped from California but I believe made in New South Wales.

When I got the pumps I immediately tried one of the pumps,  airing down the rear tire on my RT to 15 psi.  Then hooked up the pump and in 5 minutes flat it had the tire up to 39 psi.  I continued for less than another minute to get up to 42 psi.  As with most small pumps it is a bit noisy but not hot at all and no signs of over heating.   I am truly amazed at how compact this little pump is and how well it works.

$59 pius shipping and for the 2 pumps shipping was only $9.  And out of state so no sales tax.

I drove over to my local BMW Dealer, Motorcycles of Charlotte,   and picked up 2 SAE to Coax adapters so that the pump's SAE connector will plug into my battery cable on both bikes.  Also, the pump has a 15A inline (standard size) fuse so I have included a spare fuse in each kit.    The small adapter cable and the extra fuse fit into the nice case the pump comes with.

The SLIME pump these are replacing worked OK but was slow and was a cheap tool.    A bit more than my $10 SLIME pumps but a much better and smaller product.  And looks very well made.

Now let’s hope I never need to use it !! :-)
