What's the Holes?

Okay, so this may be dumb but what are the holes for on the handgrip controls? One behind each lever? After cleaning out the mud dauber nest that was in the left side one, I expected it to be threaded inside but it's just a straight through hole. Possibly for an accessory for the police model maybe?

I'm guessing you are asking about the mirror mount holes.  The bar controls were used on bikes without a fairing, and that's where the mirrors mounted.  You can add mirrors there on the RT, I had them on my '06 - you can actually see behind you!  Wunderlich among others sells the kits.

Sorry about the .HEIC picture, didn't notice until after I posted.  Next time I'll convert to .JPEG or the like.

 

Wunderlich dash mount with their locking Zumo 595 cage.    Worked very well, and I liked being able to leave it on the bike, though I did remove it on trips when overnighting (just in case).
