Rear wheel remove / replace.

Camhead 2012 RT. Do the bolts for the rear wheel thread into steel or alloy? I have a couple of torque wrenches but still concerned about the risk of stripping the threads. I plan to tighten them first to 40 NM then 50 NM then 60 NM. Any additional advice welcome.

It should be steel as the last 1200RT's to come with alloy wheel flanges were late 2010 or early 2011 & even then most were updated to steel under a recall.
