Gemini 1250 Peg install, observations

I finally had a chance to ride today for about 100 miles and give a try to the Gemini pegs.  For years, I had Mic-0-Pegs on my LT, but these are not going to be made for the R1250RT.

I was only able to install the lower, since my Illium pegs are going to stay and not possible to install upper pegs.

Install took less than one hour, very simple and parts fit easily-video was a breeze to follow.

The pics are of the pegs in the extended (when you use them) and tucked in.  I think they are not obtrusive in how they look on the bike

Observations on riding-they give me one more placement for my feet, which will be especially nice when my wife is with me, as well as long mile days.  I do hit the edge of the cylinder with my shins, so was working a way to shift my foot to avoid that and seemed to be getting better the more I rode.

They tuck under nicely with my feet as well as open without any issues.

They did give me a nice price reduction if I would give a review and pics to them with illium bars.   So, I have the upper pegs if anyone is interested in this, but will not plan to use the lower ones!   If you head to the website, they make it possible to buy 'just' the upper or 'just' the lower for $200.  I'll sell the upper for $100-you will still need the mounting kit, but a decent savings.  Please note, you can't install upper pegs if you have illium front crash bars.

the 'red' color of the phots is from the Race Deck garage flooring in the rare WI sunshine!

I got a long (last of 2023) ride this weekend with the new pegs.  I used grandson's basketball game in New Ulm and Mankato MN as a reason to head out Friday and return Sunday.  Total of 802 miles, heated gear a nice helper at 33 degrees Friday and Saturday, although return on Sunday was into 50s.

The pegs work.  They give me an added position after long stretches and it was the right call for me.  I'm 5'9" and not getting taller, so the upper pegs are simply not an option, although I did mount a set of illium works to see if it would work.  Expensive experiment.

I change position often on the bike, so this 'one' more was worth it.

It's as close to the mic-o-pegs as I think I'm going to find for this ride.  I'll take it
