02 K12RS Antiscuffing cover near battery

I was reinstalling a new battery and i felt it wasn’t going into the cradle smoothly, so stopped and withdrew it and somehow i dislodged what is called ‘Anti Scuffing’ something BMW part # 34327652540.  See photo. Now, i can’t find where or how this thing is put back where it should be.   Has anyone any idea exactly where this thing goes, somewhere in or near the battery cradle, please?  Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

After this thing driving me insane, i finally found its spot.  After owning this bike for 21 years and replacing a few batteries over that period, this is first time that item was jerked out of its spot so I didn't know exactly where it came from.  anyway, all well.  regards all.
