KDeline
2009 R 1200 RT, 2200 miles from home. So, while scrubbing some bugs off of the motorcycle that I do during long trips, much to the amusement of people questioning why, I hear something fall into the gravel, thought it was a rock, didn’t think much of it, and then the spider sense went off, and I looked for it. So this happened, I see that it’s under the left throttlebody, anybody can tell me what that part does, and how up the creek I would have been if I lost that down the road? Put it back in, so no issues, just curious. Also why I carry a boatload of tools. Not that I could really do anything with them. Link to comment
Boxflyer
It's obviously the breather pipe for the crankcase vent. Glad you put it back in or you would have been dealing with an oil leak from the backing plate that attaches to the head. Good hunting to find where it went! Link to comment
wbw6cos
Quick draw, Brad. Beat me to it. On a better note Ken, you saved $2.30 (for 2) by finding that bolt. Link to comment
KDeline
I just hope the one on the other side hasn’t come out because I can’t see that area. Link to comment
