Paul_Burkett Posted June 11, 2006 Share Posted June 11, 2006 There is a winery on 50 east of Gunny, you can hike up to the mine in Marble, see the coke ovens on 133, there is a killer ice cream/home made fudge shop in Crested Butte, a place that sells great pie on 50 about 200 yards east of Big Cinneron Rd. But....all of these things mean taking time off from the bike. There are about 20 ghost towns in the area to visit that were started back in the 1870's, about 20 years after explorer Captain John W. Gunnison and his party were there seeking a transcontinental rail route. Link to comment
