R1200RT - Want to buy a pad to protect my tank near my stomach.

hi Folks, Is there some kind of stick on pad to protect my tank ladder where it is being abraded by my stomach?

I bought this for the top of my side cases (boot scuff marks).  They have various sizes.  Not sure if it would work for you as you mentioned pad.

That was on my saddlebags when I got my bike. They've been kicked and scraped many times from me or my wife swinging our feet over. It looks a bit beat up, but the paint underneath is well protected. People comment how it's a bummer to have it all scratched up until I point out that it is the paint protector film, not the paint.

To be fair, the rest is shiny and pretty, they are a bit of an ugly eyecatcher. It only happens because it gets ridden!

+1 for 3m Paint Protection Film.  I made a templates for several spots on my '21RT's tank out of heavy paper bag, transferred to the film, and applied.  Using soapy water you have no problems positioning where you want them, then just squeegee out the water and bob's your uncle.
