Skywagon
My Nav V was bought new when I bought the bike in 2014. It has been flawless...until today. I bought an extra battery when it was new. I rotate them ever so often so I can use it on battery when in hotels. Well today when I removed the battery, the battery pins pulled out of the chassis. Shiiiiite. I have a call into Garmin to see if they work on these anymore. Not sure why this happened as there is no corrosion at all. The unit is in my house unless riding. I may need an alternative if this cant be repaired by Garmin. Link to comment
Michaelr11
If you're in the USA, contact Chris Short at Palm Doctor - palmdr.com. He repairs all kinds of GPS devices, all ages, and for a reasonable price. I have used him several times, for internal batteries, buttons and displays. Link to comment
Skywagon
Problem solved via Garmin. They are doing an exchange for $170. I suspect the exchange is refurbished. It comes with a 2 year warranty. Free shipping via UPS both ways. 1 Link to comment
