LED load? (2017 1200RT)

 LED / CanBus load  Query?

 

Has anyone added a couple of LED's or a small light bar to the rear fender of a '14 to '19 1200RT and tied them into the existing wiring without the need for a CanBus Controller too?

 

(I was looking at a 6" light on a bracket that shares the two bolts on the bottom of the license plate. Hopefully the power draw would be minimal.)

I have them on the rear of my bike.  No electrical issues.  They also make some for the front forks.  I've never used them.

They will work with or without a CANBUS controller.  The  instructions show you which wires to tap for a direct installation.  Or, you can use something like the HEX EZCAN2 to drive the system.
